When you are looking to buy something ask yourself these 3 questions:
- Where Try and buy things that are made locally. If you can't then see how it's being transported to you eg by boat is better than by plane.
- What Do you need to buy it new? Can you re-use? If you can't reuse then can you buy something that has been made from recycled or upcycled materials? Look for 100% recycled or FSC certified cardboard, paper and wood. Can you buy organic? Look for dyes that are made from natural products or AZO-free.
- Who Check who has made what you are buying. Are they working with fair conditions, cared for and paid fairly?
