Iberian Lynx have come back from the brink of extinction

The Iberian Lynx is a medium sized cat. It has long black tufts on its ears but no one's really sure what they're for! Its coat is tawny or yellowish-red, with black or brown spots. Females usually give birth to two or three kittens in a hollow tree stump in March or April. The kittens leave the den at 2 months. By around 10 months take care for them self, but they live near Mum for almost 2 years!

This cat can swim!

Thanks to its sharp claws and excellent eyesight, the Iberian Lynx is an impressive hunterin the dark and has a strong bite that can kill prey quickly.
